Category Archives: Opinions and Reviews

Our Opinions and Reviews section covers writing software, reviews of platforms, and opinions on the best software for writers and authors.

This section also covers new book releases such as The Online Writer’s Companion by P.J. Aitken. This book has been described as a “Bible for Freelancers” by the Huffington Post, and it was written by our very own PJ Aitken. Aitken admits to not having as much time as he would like to work on this site, which is why he has left us in charge. But he still oversees all of the work, he still provides edits and suggestions here and there, and he also drops in to write the occasion article.

It’s not all about P. J. Aitken though. He may be the founder of Freelance With Us, but he’s far from the only contributor. In fact, there are over a dozen people working on the FWU site, making sure sections like Opinions and Review continue to work and that they continue to produce content you want to read.

Winning the Lottery vs Other Unlikely Outcomes

Billions of dollars are spent on global lotteries every single week. Players are attracted by the life-changing jackpots and the small ticket price, but they ignore the ridiculously high odds simply because the human brain can’t quite comprehend odds that high. It hears something like, “You’re more likely to be hit by a meteor on […]

Do Qualifications Matter as a Freelance Writer?

I dropped out of school at a young age and never developed a formal education. I was fortunate enough to be a very curious kid and a bit of a loner, so I spent my days reading, creating, and learning—albeit not under the guidance of a tutor—and that ensured I didn’t have the mental capacity […]

The Online Writer’s Companion: An Update

Freelance With Us was never supposed to be my site. At least, not entirely. I created this site in anticipation of my book, The Online Writer’s Companion, being released. I had already published fiction under two different pen names and had typical author websites for both of them (including David Jester). This was a new […]
